It requires an appropriate level of physical fitness and movement efficiency. Further, at the high competition level it also demands high intensive workout. Therefore, wheelchair basketball players should have high professional support, which would enable an individual approach reducing the negative effects of training, reducing the possibility of injury and improving regeneration. Nevertheless, most wheelchair basketball players do not have this option and they perform injurie prevention programs by themselves. Specific movement patterns of basketball players can lead to some acute and chronic injuries. Therefore, we have presented simple exercises for injury prevention. We focused on self-massage, static and dynamic stretching exercises, and static and dynamic strengthening gymnastic exercises</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Košarka na vozičkih je gibalno in energijsko zahteven šport, ki terja ustrezno raven telesne pripravljenosti in gibalne učinkovitosti. Višja je tekmovalna raven, zahtevnejši je trening in močnejša bi morala biti strokovna podpora, ki omogoča osebni pristop za zmanjšanje negativnih učinkov treninga, s katerim se izboljša regeneracija po naporu in zmanjša možnost nastanka poškodb. Večina košarkarjev na vozičkih nima teh možnosti in so največkrat pri zmanjševanju negativnih učinkov treninga prepuščeni sami sebi. Čeprav je veliko vadbenih sredstev zelo preprostih, jih številni zaradi nepoznavanja ne uporabljajo. Ker specifični gibalni vzorec košarkarjev na vozičkih lahko privede do specifičnih akutnih in kroničnih poškodb, smo predstavili osnovna vadbena sredstva za preventivo pred poškodbami.
