At first, the Orchestra had only a few members, and was technically weak. After the musicians of the Trieste Orchestra joined the Radio Orchestra, the performances were technically, and thus also interpretatively, enhanced. The number of concerts grew as the need for the physical presence of the Orchestraat radio shows decreased. With more concerts the reputation of the Orchestra increased, too, which can be seen from the numerous articles associated with the Orchestra that were published in the daily pressSimfonični orkester Radia Ljubljana je bil ponovno ustanovljen v maju leta 1945. Orkester je bil sprva številčno in tudi tehnično šibek. Potem ko so se mu pridružili glasbeniki tržaškega orkestra, se je izvajalski aparat tehnično in posledično tudi interpretacijsko izboljšal. Ko se je potreba radijskih oddaj po fizični prisotnosti orkestra zmanjšala, se je število koncertnih nastopov povečalo.
