(2012) and Tanja Tuma's Češnje, bele in rdeče (2015). As an introduction, I present the theoretical findings on identity, both national and ethnic, and analyse the works on that basis. The role of Slovenian literature in the formation of the national consciousness, the question of gender identity and the tradition of war prose in literature by Slovenian female writers are also highlighted. The selected war-themed novels present strong female characters who fight for preserving national identity in order to defeat the occupiers"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V članku se ukvarjam z značilnostmi ženskih likov v štirih izbranih romanih sodobnih slovenskih pisateljic, ki so izšli po letu 2000: Saga o kovčku (2003) Nedeljke Pirjevec, Burjin čas (2009) Vilme Purič, Da me je strah? (2012) Maruše Krese in Češnje, bele in rdeče (2015) Tanje Tuma. Uvodoma predstavim teoretična dognanja o identiteti, nacionalni in etnični identiteti, na podlagi katerih analiziram dela. Osvetljeni so tudi vloga slovenske literature pri oblikovanju narodne zavesti, vprašanje identitete spola in tradicija vojne proze v književnosti slovenskih pisateljic.
