The results of both lexicographic and factor-analytic studies showed that the structure of personality converges toward the five factors (the so called \"Big Five\" model - BFM). By stepwise analyses of 4500 Allport's and Odbert's adjectives Cattell (1943) reached 12 personality factors that were the base ofhis personality-traits theory. The fact that Cattell's Dimensions rest on the BFM was confirmed in reanalyses of his data performed by other autors. Two branches of research were developed from the Cattell's practice: (a) Norman (1967) shelled 75 common traits, from the base of 18000 personality=traits descriptions, and Goldberg (1981, 1983) extracted five factors out of them; (b) Peabody and Goldberg (1989) confirmed the BF structure from the variables which served completely different model of personality. According to BFM the five principal factors are: Energy (extroversion, surgency), Friendliness (emotional support, kindness, affection), Conscientiousness (reliability), Emotional stability (neuroticism)and Openness (mental openness, intellect). In USA Costa and McCrae (1992) developed a questionnaire NEO-PI-R, which rests on the BF model,and in Europe the similar questionnaire was created a year later (Big Five Questionnaire - Caprara, Barbaranelli & Borgogni, 1993). It was translated into Spanish and English language and there are French, Dutch, German, Polish and Slovenian versions in praparation. The rating scale (Big Five Observer), which enables us to estimate ourselves or others on the list of 40 bipolar adjectives, is also attached to the questionnaire"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Devetdeseta leta pomenijo preporod raziskovanja osebnosti. Na obeh straneh Atlantika so z leksikografskimi in faktorskimi raziskavami ugotovili, da struktura osebnosti konvergira k petim faktorjem (t.i. \"Big Five\"). Cattell ježe leta 1943 s postopnim analiziranjem 4500 Allportovih in Odbertovih terminov prišel do 12 osebnostnih faktorjev, ki so bili osnova za njegovo teorijo osebnostnih potez. Kasnejši raziskovalci so ob ponovni analizi ugotovili, da Cattellove spremenljivke temeljijo na modelu BF, kar se je kasneje potrdilo v različnih državah, celo na Kitajskem. Iz \"Cattellove veje\" sta se razvili dve smeri raziskav: (a) Norman (1967) je iz baze 18000 opisov osebnostnih potez uspel izluščiti 75 skupin potez, iz katerih je Goldberg (1981, 1983) s faktorizacijo dobil pet faktorjev; (b) tudi Peabody in Goldberg (1989) sta na materialu, ki je bil zbran za testiranje povsem drugačnega modela osebnosti, potrdila model BF. Po tem modelu je pet glavnih faktorjev osebnosti: energija (ekstravertnost, surgentnost), sprejemljivost (naklonjenost, prijaznost), vestnost (skrbnost), čustvena stabilnost (nevroticizem) in odprtost (mentalna odprtost, intelekt). V ZDA sta Costa in McCrae na osnovi modela BF izdelala vprašalnik NEO-PI-R (Costa & McCrae, 1992), za evropske razmere pa so tak vprašalnik razvili v Italiji (Big Five Questionnaire - Caprara, Barbaranelli in Borgogni, 1993). Preveden je v španščino in angleščino, pripravlja pa se še francoska, nizozemska, nemška, poljska in slovenska verzija. Ob vprašalniku je na voljo še ocenjevalna lestvica (Big Five Observer), s katero na istih dimenzijah hitro ocenimo sebe ali druge s pomočjo 40 parov pridevnikov"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-A79NRHFW","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:doc-A79NRHFW"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A79NRHFW/5c36a5de-eb8c-4b04-bd13-97ba63f21f3e/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Društvo psihologov Slovenije"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A79NRHFW/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A79NRHFW"}}}}
