Radiotherapy, on the other hand, is one of the most commonly used and well established cancer treatment modalities. The latest improvements in the physical targeting ability of radiotherapy and understanding of the molecular mechanism involved in the cellular response to ionizing radiation have presented an opportunity to combine radiotherapy with gene therapy. This review article will focus on gene therapy strategies that can be used to enhance the effectiveness of radiotherapy, with an emphasis on transcriptional targeting approaches</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-A62JN26Z"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-A62JN26Z" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A62JN26Z/3c3fda50-1c66-4374-9949-e28d88f4fae9/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Društvo radiologije in onkologije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A62JN26Z/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-A62JN26Z" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
