The house at 17 Maister Street is presented within the context of contemporary residential construction in the cadastral municipality of Grajski Marof, located in what was then the Graz suburb of Maribor. Two urban development plans for the cadastral municipality of Grajski Marof were drawn up in the mid-19th century, neither of which has been previously discussed in the literature. The older plan from 1846, the work of an unknown architect, was created at the initiative of Othmar Reiser (1792–1868), administrator of the Vetrinjski dvor estate (ger. Herrschaft Viktringerhof). The later plan, from 1860, was drawn by district construction engineer Franz Zistler likely at the initiative of then-mayor Othmar Reiser, with its realization strongly supported by mayor Matthäus Reiser (1830–1895)</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku so bivališča generala Rudolfa Maistra (1874–1934), zlasti večstanovanjsko hišo na Meljski cesti 11 v Mariboru, v kateri je Maister z družino živel med letoma 1915 in 1922, ter večstanovanjsko najemniško hišo v Maistrovi ulici 17 v Mariboru, v kateri je bival med letoma 1922 in 1934, obravnavana z arhitekturnega vidika.
