V članku je naveden pregled objav, v katerih so opisane urbane podnebne razmere in okoljski vplivi, ki so jim izpostavljena drevesa v mestnem okolju. Hkrati je v pregledu objav definirana vloga dreves v urbanem okolju, obravnavani pa so tudi dejavniki stresa pri urbanem drevju. Nekaj zbranih informacij opisuje toleranco in fiziološki odziv posameznih drevesnih vrst na podnebne spremembe in nekatere druge dejavnike stresa pri urbanih drevesih.
