On each of them seven or eight trees hawe been analyzed, 52 all together. Trunk analysis has been made first, followed by a ring analysis. Growth characteristics of the flowering ash were determined on seven stand locations according to social layers: growth in height and diameter growth according to age, and growth in height in dependence of diameter growth. Growth characteristics of the flowering ash differ according to social layers and sites. Phenomena of \"pulling up\" is significant for the flowering ash. It happens when the flowering ash in lower layers reacts and grows rapidly. When a stand canopy is made"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Mali jesen je pionirska drevesna vrsta, ki uspeva predvsem na sš{nih in topli hrastiščih na karbonatni matični podlagi. V združbah, kjer je obilneje prisoten, ima izrazito varovalno vlogo. Rastne značilnosti malega jesena (Fraxinus ornus L.) smo analizirali na sedmih nahajališčih, kjer smo izbrali 7 ali 8 dreves (skupno 52). Izvedli smo debelno analizo, sledila je dendrometrijska analiza. Na nahajališčih smo ugotovili rastne značilnosti malega jesena glede na socialno plast (višinsko rast glede na starost, debelinsko rast glede na starost in višinsko rast glede na debelino). Rastne značilnosti malega jesena se razlikujejo po socialnih plasteh in po rastiščih. Pri malem jesenu je prisoten pojav \"vlečenja v višino\", ko mali jesen, ki je v nižjih plasteh, zaradi vrzeli v strehi sestoja reagira z naglo rastjo v višino.
