Jurij Dalmatin translated the New Testament from Luther, but based it on Trubar's texts. Trubar translated Psalms from the annotated Latin edition of Psaltery by Wolfgang Musculus and Rudolph Walther's (Gwalther's) translation of Psalter into German. Dalmatin relied on Trubar in translating Psalter, his main source was Luther, but he used other sources as well. Krelj used Greek and other sources in translating the Postil (KPo 1567). Jurij Juričič in the first part of his Postil (JPo 1578) adapted Krelj's text in Luther´s text, while he translated the second ad third parts of Postil from Luther, but clearly also relied on Trubar's translationPrimerjalna analiza izbranih prevodov svetopisemskih besedil je pokazala, da je Primož Trubar Novo zavezo prevajal po Erazmovem latinskem prevodu, ki ga je kombiniral z Luthrovim. Jurij Dalmatin je Novo zavezo prevajal po Luthru na osnovi Trubarjevega besedila. Psalme je Trubar prevajal po latinski komentirani izdaji Psalterja Wolfganga Muscula ter prevodu Psalterja v nemščino Rudolpha Waltherja (Gwaltherja). Dalmatin se je pri svojih prevodih Psalterja naslanjal na Trubarja, prevajal je po Luthru, vendar je rabil tudi druge predloge. Krelj je imel KPo 1567 pred seboj grško in še kako drugo predlogo.
