Debates about how many jobs will disappear due to automation, how the nature of work, occupations and skills required will change have been replaced by concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on work organisation and employment relationships. The management of employees by algorithms (algorithmic management) is becoming a central theme in academic analysis and wider policy debates about the future of work. The paper presents key aspects of the impact of artificial intelligence on employment relationships through a more detailed analysis of algorithmic management and its application to traditional employment relationships. It also discusses the existing and emerging legal framework for algorithmic management, which must ensure that the benefits of using new technologies (including artificial intelligence) always outweighs their drawbacks. While existing legislation already offers some answers, it focuses only on specific aspects or risks of artificial intelligence without providing a comprehensive framework for regulating algorithmic management. The first attempt to regulate algorithmic management in a comprehensive way can be found in the proposal for a Directive on improving working conditions in platform work. Although the latter only applies to persons performing platform work, the agreed text (taking into account the criticisms) could be an important guideline for the regulation of algorithmic management in employment relationships</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Digitalizacija že nekaj časa pomembno spreminja svet dela.
