V osnovi so modificirani vodorazredčljivi polimeri z nizko molsko maso. Vzorcem štirih izbranih polimernih mastilnih sredstev smo določili suho snov, žarino in ugotavljali topnost v organskih topilih. Okvirno kemijsko sestavo smo določili z infrardečo spektroskopijo (IR) ter ?$^1$?H in ?$^{13}$?C jedrsko magnetno resonanco (?$^1$?H in ?$^{13}$? C NMR).
