Three long term forecast of possible development scenarios were defined: population decline, moderate and fast population growth. Necessary areas for each land use and each scenario based on standards and normatives were determined and then allocated into the environment. This allocation was performed using the Eastman method, emphasising holistic approach and taking multiple criteria into consideration. First the suitability maps were produced and then multiple criteria were combined into a synthetic land use map"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V članku je predstavljen primer uporabe geografskih informacijskih sistemov pri prostorskem načrtovanju poselitve in centralnih dejavnosti, obrti in industrije ter območij za počitniško gradnjo na območju katastrskih občin Godovič in Črni Vrh. Predvideli smo tri scenarije razvoja: zmanjšanje ter zmerno in hitro povečanje števila prebivalcev. Na temelju normativov in standardov smo z Eastmanovo tehniko prostorskega odločanja, ki poudarja celostni pristop in upošteva vpliv številnih dejavnikov, za vsak scenarij opredelili potrebne površine posameznih rab prostora in jih umestili v pokrajino.
