Particular attention is paid to the correspondence betweeen Slovene diplomats and politicians, presenting insights into different political opinions inside the Royal Yugoslav Government in exile. Being originally an ardent anti-Communist, Izidor Cankar soon noticed that the armed resistance against the Axis Powers in Yugoslavia launched by the Tito s Communists was well received with the Western Allies. This made Cankar all the more concerned abouut the passive stance of the Royal Yugoslav Government towards the organinisation of resistance.
