Their athletic knowledge was videotaped and then assessed using newly developed scales and descriptions. The shot put was assessed by three assessors and the hurdles by four assessors – athletics assistants and experienced athletics coaches. The students’ self-assessments of athletic knowledge and their self-reports of their previous experience of athletics were analysed using a questionnaire. To analyse the congruence of the assessments, we used Interclass Correlation Coefficients. The correlation between the different variables was calculated using the Spearman coefficient. We found a good agreement between different raters, which was even better for shot put (?=0.836 vs. ?=0.744). We found that only 15% of students were familiarised with hurdling in primary or secondary school as it is not part of the curriculum. Nevertheless, their knowledge of hurdling was rated higher (2.57) than that of shot put (1.98). Hurdling is an interesting athletics discipline that should be included in the primary and secondary school curriculum</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen študije je bil validirati ocenjevalni lestvici za sunek težke žoge in tek čez ovire, primerjati znanje študentov pri teh dveh testih ter ugotoviti morebitno povezanost med njihovim vrednotenjem lastnega atletskega znanja in objektivnimi ocenami. Vključili smo 76 študentov Fakultete za šport Univerze v Ljubljani, ki opravljajo predmet Atletika 1. Njihovo atletsko znanje smo posneli s kamero ter ga ocenili na podlagi na novo razvitih meril in opisnikov. Sunke so ocenjevali trije, tek čez ovire pa štirje ocenjevalci – asistenti za atletiko in izkušeni atletski trenerji. Samoocene atletskega znanja in študentove izkušnje z atletiko smo ugotavljali z anketnim vprašalnikom. Za analizo skladnosti ocenjevanja smo uporabili koeficiente interklasne korelacije. Povezanost med različnimi spremenljivkami pa smo izračunali s Spearmanovim koeficientom. Ugotovili smo veliko medocenjevalsko skladnost, ta je bila še boljša pri sunku težke žoge (? = 0,836 proti ? = 0,744). Spoznali smo, da se je samo približno 15 % študentov v osnovni ali srednji šoli srečalo s tekom čez ovire, saj te vsebine v učnem načrtu ni. Kljub temu je bilo njihovo znanje teka čez ovire v povprečju ocenjeno bolje (2,57) kot znanje suvanja (1,98).
