Drawing on decolonial theory, particularly as developed by thinkers such as Aníbal Quijano and Enrique Dussel, the study examines how the Zhuangzi critiques the emergence of the socio-economic hierarchies and epistemological distinctions that underpin unjust social orders. By analysing key chapters, including “Matí”, “Daozhí”, and “Piánmu”, the paper highlights the text’s rejection of rigid dichotomies such as “noble man” (junzi) and “commoner” (xiaorén), and its depiction of inequality as a violent disruption of innate human nature. Furthermore, it explores the subversive potential of the Páo Ding story, arguing that it reverses epistemic and social hierarchies by portraying a cook as a Daoist sage instructing a ruler. In conversation with Latin American social realities and decolonial theories, this reading suggests that the Zhuangzi invites us to reimagine resistance to inequality not only as institutional reform but as a cultivation of alternative, non-hierarchical ways of life"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek ponuja dekolonialno branje dela Zhuangzi, pri čemer ga umešča v dialog z državami globalnega juga in tako povezuje klasično kitajsko misel s sodobnimi latinskoameriškimi skrbmi glede neenakosti. Na podlagi dekolonialne teorije, zlasti v delu teoretikov, kot sta Aníbal Quijano in Enrique Dussel, članek preuči, kako Zhuangzi, kritično obravnava nastanek socioekonomskih hierarhij in epistemoloških razlikovanj, ki podpirajo nepravični družbeni red. Z analizo ključnih poglavij, med drugim »Matí«, »Daozhí« in »Piánmu«, članek izpostavlja, da delo zavrača toge dihotomije, kot sta »plemenitnik« (junzi) in »navadni človek« (xiaorén), ter prikazuje neenakost kot nasilje proti človekovi prirojeni naravi.
