The uniform spatial distribution of particles is important for the granulation process. Instead of the current approaches to scaling the process parameters for air flow rate based on the concept of apparent air velocity, it would be desirable to also consider the distribution of air flow above the distributor, since the flow is not uniform. We have performed several numerical simulations of the air flow using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and several two-way coupled simulations using CFD and the discrete element method (DEM), motivated by our confirmed assumption that particles affect the air flow distribution. We found that the air flow rate through the granulator affects the distribution of the air flow on the distributior, especially in the case of a loaded granulator"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Cilj raziskovalnega dela je bil ugotoviti porazdelitev pretoka zraka na razdelilni plošči laboratorijske naprave za granuliranje v lebdečem sloju. Za postopek granuliranja delcev je pomembna njihova enakomerna porazdelitev po prostoru naprave in njihovo gibanje. Namesto do sedaj uporabljenega pristopa prenosa procesnih pogojev za pretok zraka iz manjše na veliko napravo na podlagi navidezne hitrosti toka zraka, bi želeli upoštevati porazdelitev toka nad razdelilno ploščo, saj tok ni uniformen. Za takšen pristop je potrebno ugotoviti porazdelitev pretoka nad razdelilno ploščo in odvisnost porazdelitve volumskega pretoka zraka. Izvedli smo več numeričnih simulacij računalniške dinamike tekočin toka in več dvosmerno sklopljenih simulacij računalniške dinamike tekočin in metode diskretnih elementov, saj je ena izmed predpostavk, ki smo jo v prispevku potrdili, da imajo delci vpliv na porazdelitev pretoka.
