The data were aquisited in the concentric and eccentric part of the squat. Participants performed "all out" repetitions. The aim of our study was to optimize the measurement procedures in analyzing the electro-mechanical relationship using flywheel loading, as follows: a) to reduce the number of anterior thigh muscles involved in analysis and b) to reduce the number of loads used. We found that due to the observed differences in the electro-mechanical relationship between individual muscles when changing the size of the flywheel load, it is not reasonable to reduce the number of muscles or loads in the method of analyzing the electro-mechanical relationship. To reliably evaluate training adaptations for leg muscle strength and to further distinguish between the neural and morphological mechanisms responsible for adaptations, we recommend capturing signals from vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, rectus femoris and biceps femoris muscles at at least three flywheel loads, according to research findings. The findings provide the basis for further investigation and critical consideration of evaluating the effects of strength training using fywheel devices, in more detail the mechanisms responsible for improving the mechanical properties of muscles</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen raziskave je bil preveriti, kako velikost inercijskega bremena pri počepanju vpliva na odnos med mišično aktivacijo stegenskih mišic in ustvarjeno vertikalno silo. Podatki so bili zajeti v koncentričnem in ekscentričnem delu počepa pri izvedbi z največjo možno hitrostjo. Cilj raziskave je bil optimizirati merske postopke pri analiziranju elektro-mehanskega (EMG/sila) odnosa na inercijski napravi za izvedbo počepa, in sicer a) zmanjšati število vključenih sprednjih stegenskih mišic v analizo in b) zmanjšati število uporabljenih bremen za razločevanje mehanizmov (nevralni ali morfološki) pri izboljšanju mehanskih parametrov z vadbo za moč. Ugotovili smo, da zaradi ugotovljenih razlik v odnosu EMG/sila med posameznimi mišicami ob spreminjanju velikosti inercijskega bremena ni smiselno reducirati števila mišic ali bremen pri metodi analiziranja odnosa EMG/sila. Za zanesljivo vrednotenje napredka pri vadbi za moč mišic nog in dodatno ločevanja med nevralnimi in morfološkimi mehanizmi, odgovornimi za napredek, glede na izsledke raziskave priporočamo zajem signalov iz mišic vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, rectus femoris in biceps femoris pri vsaj treh inercijskih bremenih.
