Ugotavljamo njeno vsebino, večplastnost ter nekatere pogoje ohranjanja oziroma razloge spreminjanja identitete. Pri tem je jezik kot vsebinsko bogat, dostopen, značilen in zaznaven element vsekakor najbolj primeren za tovrstno analizo.
