In this context, collective redress mechanisms play a crucial role in securing access to justice and the right to an effective remedy. This need is especially evident within the European Union, where binding secondary legislation addressing collective actions has, to date, been adopted exclusively in the field of consumer protection. Consequently, Member States have likewise concentrated their regulatory efforts on this area. This article examines the development and regulation of collective redress mechanisms for the protection of consumer interests in the European Union and Slovenia, and analyses the practical experiences and challenges in their application"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Pravo varstva potrošnikov je eno od področij, na katerih so množične kršitve najpogostejše. Zaradi atomizacije tipizirane škode med številne posameznike in njihovega šibkega pogajalskega in finančnega položaja so mehanizmi kolektivnega varstva na tem področju pogosto dobrodošli. Fokus na zagotavljanje dostopa do sodišča in pravice do učinkovitega pravnega sredstva potrošnikom kot žrtvam množičnih oškodovanj je posebej očiten v Evropski uniji, kjer so bili zavezujoči sekundarni akti, ki urejajo kolektivne tožbe, za zdaj sprejeti le na področju prava varstva potrošnikov. Posledično se na urejanje mehanizmov kolektivnega varstva zgolj na tem področju praviloma osredinjajo tudi države članice.
