A better understanding of this phenomenon, which varies with age and level of knowledge, would be extremely important for a more personalised and effective learning process. Having analysed 152 questionnaires and having conducted four interviews with teachers of French as a FL, I tried to determine the main causes of language anxiety and which age groups it affects the most. The results are clear: language anxiety is widespread in classes of French as a FL in Slovenia. Additionally, 4th-year students of grammar school and undergraduate students are most affected. These conclusions should be the starting point for helping the affected learners to try and make the language learning process a thoroughly enjoyable activityL'anxiété langagiere est l'un des facteurs psychologiques les plus proéminents dans l'apprentissage de LEs et une meilleure compréhension d'elle serait extremement importante pour un apprentissage plus efficace et conforme aux apprenants. L'anxiété langagiere varie avec l'âge et les compétences du locuteur. En recueillant et en analysant les réponses au questionnaire de 152 apprenants de FLE et en effectuant quatre interviews avec des enseignantes de FLE, j'ai essayé de déterminer les causes de l'anxiété langagiere et les groupes d'apprenants le moins et le plus influencées. Les résultats sont évidents: l'anxiété langagiere est tres répandue dans la classe de FLE en Slovénie. Parmi les groupes de participants (les lycéens en premiere année, les bacheliers, les étudiants en licence et les étudiants en master), les bacheliers et les étudiants en licence sont les plus touchés. Ces constatations permettront de pouvoir remédier a ce phénomene pour rendre l'apprentissage de FLE une expérience positiveStrah pred TJ je eden od najbolj vplivnih psiholoških dejavnikov pri učenju TJ in je glede na pomembnost precej slabo raziskan, četudi bi njegovo boljše razumevanje nedvomno pripomoglo k bolj prilagojenemu in učinkovitemu učenju TJ. Strah pred TJ se spreminja z govorčevo starostjo in nivojem znanja. Z zbiranjem in analizo 152 vprašalnikov ter s štirimi intervjuji profesoric francoščine kot TJ na dveh slovenskih gimnazijah in na Filozofski fakulteti UL so bili določeni najpogostejši vzroki za pojav strahu pred TJ ter skupino učencev glede na starost in znanje, ki ima z njim največ težav. Rezultati so zelo jasni: pojav je med učenci francoščine v slovenskem šolskem sistemu zelo pogost. Med dijaki prvih letnikov, maturanti, študenti dodiplomskega študija in študenti podiplomskega študija, so se maturanti in študenti dodiplomskega študija izkazali za najbolj problematične.
