Theblood film showed mild leukopenia with a shift to the left, mild thrombocytopenia and elevated hepatic aminotransferases about twu times the normal values. Three consecutive thick blood films showed no malaria parasites. Salmonella heidelberg was isolated from stool cultures. The patientwas immediately admitted to the hospital under suspicion of dengue"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Opisan je 52-letni bolnik, pri katerem so se štiri dni po vrnitvi iz Kenije pojavili visoka vročina, utrujenost, bolečine v mišicah, retrobulbarni glavobol, zlivajoč makulopapulozen izpuščaj, vnetje veznic in razjede v ustih.V krvni sliki smo zaznali blago levkopenijo s pomikom v levo in nakazanotrombopenijo ter približno 2-krat povišane vrednosti jetrnih transaminaz. Pregled goste kaplje krvi na povzročitelje malarije je bil trikrat zaporedno negativen. Iz blata smo osamili bakterijo Salmonella heidelberg.
