Using first rank historical sources, the author enlightens the interesting historical figure of the first man of Tuzla, who, at the end of the war, after the years of his dedicated work in favour of the war effort of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, like many other public figures, had to face the challenges of the political overthrow and emergence of the first Yugoslav statePrispevek obravnava politična stališča in javno delovanje župana Tuzle hafiza Osmana Vilovića v času pred prvo svetovno vojno, med njo in takoj po njej, ko je v Bosni in Hercegovini in v drugih južnoslovanskih deželah Habsburške monarhije prišlo do vzpostavitve prehodnih organov začasne Države Slovencev, Hrvatov in Srbov.
