This year the sport examination was taken by 4,010 ninth-graders. It was composed of 21 assignments - 46 questions of different types and complexity. Of a total score of 46 points, pupils on average achieved 29.64 +- 11.8 (64.43%). The analysis of results showed that pupils know well and understand the basic concepts related to safety and sports conduct as well as some rules on sports training and its effects on people. The results also show insufficient knowledge and inaccurate use of the terminology in practically all substantive areas as well as a poor understanding of the basic physical principles of movement. They find it difficult to recognise the causal-consequential relationship in performance of basic movements. More attention must be devoted to consistency of expert terminology that is used both by teachers and pupils. More effort should be dedicated to understanding of individual contents and making them meaningful. The NPZ is an important tool and good feedback for education professionals and teachers regarding knowledge and good understanding of physical activities and sports as well as making them meaningful</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Nacionalno preverjanje znanja (NPZ) je oblika zunanjega preverjanja znanja šesto- in devetošolcev iz materinega jezika, matematike in tretjega predmeta. Preizkus iz športa je letos opravljalo 4010 devetošolcev. Sestavljen je bil iz 21 nalog - 46 vprašanj različnih tipov in različnih zahtevnostnih stopenj. Učenci so od 46 možnih točk v povprečju dosegli 29,64 +- 11,8 ( 64,43 %). Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da učenci dobro poznajo in razumejo osnovna ravnanja, povezana z varnostjo in športnim obnašanjem, ter nekatere zakonitosti športne vadbe oziroma njen vpliv na človeka. Rezultati kažejo tudi, da učenci izkazujejo slabše poznavanje in nenatančno rabo strokovnega izrazoslovja praktično na vseh vsebinskih področjih ter slabše razumevanje osnovnih fizikalnih principov gibanja. Težje prepoznajo vzročno-posledični odnos pri izvajanju osnovnih gibanj. Nujno potrebno bo več pozornosti usmeriti v strokovno izrazoslovno doslednost tako pri učiteljih kot učencih. Prav tako pa več naporov usmeriti tudi v razumevanje in osmišljanje posameznih vsebin.
