The primary focus is on the travelogues of Luiza Pesjak, Marica Strnad, Marica Gregorič Stepančič, Marija Kmet, and Alma Karlin. Women's travel has a special cultural status. Three aspects are considered in the article: genre peculiarities of the texts (purposes of travel, categories \"one's own/other/foreign\"), gender and national issues and the interconnection of them, as this this period when the struggle for the emancipation of women begins as well as the national identity actively takes shape"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek je posvečen problematiki preučevanja potopisov, ki so jih na Slovenskem ustvarile ženske konec 19. in v prvi polovici 20. stoletja. V centru pozornosti so potopisi Luize Pesjak, Marice Strnad, Marice Gregorič Stepančič, Marije Kmet in Alme Karlin. Žensko potovanje ima v kulturi poseben status.
