BC) and Early Chalcolithic (first half of the 5th mill. BC) layers of the settlement ofDamyanitsa in Southwest Bulgaria. Damyanitsa offers a range of lid types, allowing for a detailed typology and tracing their development from the Late Neolithic to the Early Chalcolithic periods. A detailed typological division is offered in order to facilitate comparisons with lids from contemporaneous sites in Bulgaria and within the broader context of southeastern Europe. The majority of the lids have small sizes with a base diameter of up to 15.0cm (89%). No significant differences in the shape and technologyof lids are observed between the two periods. A particular type of lid, distinguished by its grooves, suggests that some of these lids may have been utilized for the purpose of sealing vessels for longdistance transport or storage of liquids or foodstuffs. The function of these grooves is to hold the lid to a specific vessel type, representing an evolutionary development in the functionality of the lids</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku preučujemo 190 keramičnih pokrovov iz pozno neolitskih (druga polovica 6. do začetka 5. tisočletja pr. n. št.) in zgodnje halkolitskih (prva polovica 5. tisočletja pr. n. št.) naselbinskih plasti v Damjanici v jugozahodni Bolgariji. Narejeni so za zapiranje določenih vrst posod in predstavljajo napredek v uporabi pokrovov</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-6QYYV6VH"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-6QYYV6VH" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-6QYYV6VH/04b1054f-afb0-4ffd-8c03-f5b29a67de48/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Filozofska fakulteta</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-6QYYV6VH/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-6QYYV6VH" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
