We found that there were no gender differences in the incidence of injuries. Also, no associations were found between the occurrence of injuries and the category of training distance. The exception was lower back pain, which could be due to office work and not directly related to running. Lower limb injuries and lower back pain predominated. Running experience (years of training) and injury incidence were not related in our study. Resistance training has also not been found to reduce the incidence of injury. However, there were differences in the occurrence of pain in those doing interval training. Their implementation was associated with a higher incidence of shin and ankle/foot pain. Based on the findings, it would be reasonable to carry out several prospective studies in which certain training and physical variables would be specifically compared between different groups of runners</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen raziskave je bil preučiti pojavnost poškodb med tekači v Sloveniji in ugotoviti, ali so s poškodbami povezane izbrane navade (predvsem glede treningov) in lastnosti tekačev. V raziskavi v obliki ankete je sodelovalo 205 preiskovancev, 83 moških in 122 žensk. Ugotovili smo, da v pojavnosti poškodb med spoloma ni bilo razlik. Prav tako nismo ugotovili povezav med pojavom poškodb in kategorijo trenažne razdalje. Izjema je bila bolečina v spodnjem delu hrbta, ki bi lahko bila posledica pisarniškega dela in morda ni neposredno povezana s tekom. Prevladovale so poškodbe spodnjih udov in bolečina v spodnjem delu hrbta. Izkušnje s tekom (leta treniranja) in pojavnost poškodb v naši raziskavi niso bile povezane. Prav tako nismo ugotovili, da bi trening proti uporu zmanjšal pojavnost poškodb. So se pa pojavile razlike v pojavu bolečine pri tistih, ki izvajajo intervalne treninge. Njihovo izvajanje je bilo povezano z višjo pojavnostjo bolečin v goleni in gležnju oziroma stopalu.
