Izkušnje kažejo, da moramo izbrati enoten metodološki pristop, pripraviti kvalitetno in standardizirano dokumentacijo, izdelati sistem prilagodljiv spremembam ter aktivno vključiti končnega uporabnika. Izjemnega pomena je nenehna komunikacija med uporabniki in razvijalci sistema. Potrebno je v največji meri predvideti organizacijske spremembe, ki bodo nastale z uvedbo informacijskega sistema ter jih predstaviti uporabniku kot pozitiven razvoj in ne kot dodatno obremenitev pri delu.
