In this paper, corporate reputation is conceptualized as a set of formative indicators, namely strategic orientation, trust, and attractiveness. The conceptual model of relationships between corporate reputation, market performance and financial performance is presented. The model was tested on a random sample of 464 companies in Slovenia with more than 20 employees. The results suggest that corporate reputation has stronger positive effect on market performance than on financial performance. Corporate reputation has both direct and indirect (through market performance) positive influence on financial performance. This paper shows that variables, such as loyalty, market share and sales volume, should be accounted for in reputation - performance relationship studies</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku ugotavljamo, kakšen je vpliv ugleda na uspešnost podjetij v Sloveniji, pri čemer smo ugled konceptualizirali in merili kot formativni koncept, in sicer kot kombinacijo naslednjih dejavnikov: naravnanosti na prihod - nost podjetja, zaupanja odjemalcev v podjetja in privlačnosti podjetja v očeh odjemalcev. V empirični raziskavi preverjamo model povezav med ugledom, tržno uspešnostjo in finančno uspešnostjo podjetja. Model smo preverili na na - ključnem vzorcu 464 podjetij v Sloveniji z več kot 20 zaposlenimi. Rezultati empiričnega preverjanja kažejo, da ugled podjetja pozitivno vpliva na tržno in finančno uspešnost. Njegov vpliv na finančno uspešnost je torej neposreden, pa tudi posreden preko tržne uspešnosti.
