The measurements of suspended material in Slovenian rivers beganin 1955 at the hydrological station Veliko Širje on the Savinja river. This paper summarizes turbidity measurements, which were carried out by the Slovenian Environment Agency. The detailed description of stations which have more than 3 years of continuous measurementsis given. The statistical analysis of daily turbidity data for the hydrological stationGornja Radgona on the Mura river was made. We analysed seasonal characteristics ofdischarges and concentrations of suspended sediments, then the frequency analysis wasmade, and finally the correlation coefficients between discharges, transport and concentrations of suspended material was calculated. These analyses are a basis for improvingthe understanding of properties of suspended sediments transport processes"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Kalnost oziroma naravna kalnost je pomemben hidrološki parameter, ki je neposredno povezan z erozijo, ekološkim stanjem vodnih teles in z izrednimi vremenskimi dogodki. Meritve vsebnosti suspendiranega materiala v rekah so se v Sloveniji začele relativno zgodaj, in sicer v letu 1955 pri hidrološki postaji Veliko Širje na reki Savinji. V članku smo opravili pregled meritev kalnosti, ki jih je v preteklosti opravljalaAgencija RS za okolje. Podrobneje so opisane hidrološke postaje, kjer so se vsakodnevne meritve kalnosti opravljale vsaj tri leta. Na primeru hidrološke postaje Gornja Radgonana reki Muri je narejena osnovna statistična analiza razpoložljivih meritev kalnosti. Analizirali smo sezonsko spreminjanje pretokov in koncentracij suspendiranega materiala, naredili verjetnostno analizo in izračunali koeficiente korelacije med pretoki, transportomter vsebnostjo suspendiranega materiala.
