Basing on a systematic review of British and American primary sources, the authors present the problem of their accessibility and the use of an interpretative key for their understanding. They emphasize the methodological and theoretical questions or key preconditions for the discussion of this content, which have mostly not been considered in recent research. In the second part of the article individual examples of documents, which have already been used by the historians, are presented. However, when researches used those documents, they failed to consider other, similar documents"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Namen članka je kritično analizirati, kako so do sedaj zgodovinarji uporabljali in interpretirali nekatere anglo-ameriške arhivske dokumente, pomembne vire pri obrazložitvi zapletene problematike povojnega nasilja s strani jugoslovanskih oblasti v Julijski krajini, se pravi glede t. i. fojb in usode deportiranih oseb. Na podlagi sistematičnega pregleda britanskih in ameriških primarnih virov avtorja predstavita problematiko njihove dostopnosti ter kakšen interpretativni ključ bi bilo treba upoštevati pri njihovem razumevanju. Izpostavita metodološka in teoretska vprašanja oziroma ključne predpogoje za obravnavo naslovne tematike, ki pa jih dosedanje raziskave večinoma niso upoštevale.
