There were 170 women participants, divided into three groups. The first group consisted of 71 first-time mothers and the second group of 21 third-time mothers. In the third, comparative, group there were 78 women, who have never been pregnant. The participants completed the questionnaire Narzißmusinventar (Deneke and Hilgenstock, 1989). The results showed no significant differences between both groups of mothers. Significant differences in narcissism were present mainly only between first-time mothers and the comparative group. They suggest lower narcissism of the group of the first-time mothers"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, ali se in kakšne razlike se v narcisizmu v poporodni dobi pojavljajo med materami, ki so rodile prvič, materami, ki so rodile tretjič, obe v primerjavi z ženskami, ki še niso bile noseče. V njej je sodelovalo 170 žensk, ki so bile razdeljene na tri skupine. Prvo skupino je sestavljalo 71 žensk, ki so rodile prvič, drugo skupino 23 žensk, ki so rodile tretjič, v primerjalni skupini pa je bilo 78 žensk, ki še nikoli niso bile noseče. Rezultati so pokazali, da se skupini mater na nobeni lestvici vprašalnika med seboj ne razlikujeta.
