They need to ensure safe driving of the car by creating a plan for processing or adjusting the vehicle according to their impairment of bodily functions and structures, or depending on their remaining functional abilities. The outpatient clinic for vehicle processing at the University Rehabilitation Institute Soča started operating in November 2014 and runs once a week. The work in the outpatient clinic for assessment of the processing and adaptation of vehicles for persons with permanent consequences of injuries or illness is team-based and is focused on each individual. The team consists of a specialist physician of physiatry, occupational therapist and a technical engineer or technician. Furthermore, I would like to present an example of a more advanced vehicle recovery for an employee of a thirty-five-year-old driver with tetraplegia and a married father of three young children. The following presented is the way of work in the outpatient clinic for the processing of vehicles, the role of the occupational therapist in the team and his participation in the selection of the appropriate vehicle and the processing of the selected vehicle. The purpose of teamwork is to equip people with permanent consequences of injuries or illnesses for the highest possible level of functioning or self-driving of the car, and thus more complete social integration. In the future, our goal is to improve our knowledge in this field and to improve the technical processing of vehicles and the way of work in the outpatient clinic"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Sposobnost za vožnjo avtomobila je pri osebah s trajnimi posledicami poškodb ali bolezni eden od pomembnih pogojev za socialno integracijo. Potrebno jim je zagotoviti varno vožnjo avtomobila tako, da se izdela načrt za predelavo ali prilagoditev vozila glede na njihovo okvaro telesnih funkcij in struktur, oziroma glede na njihove preostale funkcijske sposobnosti. Ambulanta za predelavo vozil na Univerzitetnem rehabilitacijskem inštitutu Republike Slovenije - Soča (URI Soča) je pričela delovati novembra leta 2014 in deluje enkrat tedensko. Dela v ambulanti za oceno predelave in prilagoditve vozil za osebe s trajnimi posledicami poškodb ali bolezni poteka timsko in je usmerjeno v posameznega bolnika. Tim sestavljajo zdravnik specialist fizikalne in rehabilitacijske medicine, diplomirani delovni terapevt ter inženir tehnične stroke ali tehnik. V timski obravnavi upoštevamo funkcijske sposobnosti in potrebe posameznega voznika, opravimo oceno sposobnosti izvajanja vožnje, presedanja v vozilo z zlaganjem vozička v vozilo, ocenimo mišično moč in gibljivosti sklepov zgornjih udov, ravnotežje, način sedenja v avtu ter zberemo podatke o oceni kognitivnih sposobnosti. Upoštevamo tudi dejavnike v družini in okolju, ki vplivajo na uporabo in upravljanje vozila. Na podlagi ocen svetujemo prilagoditev vozila. V nadaljevanju prispevka je predstavljen primer, s katerim se želi predstaviti zahtevnejšo predelavo vozila pri zaposlenem 35-letnem vozniku s tetraplegijo in poročenem očetu treh majhnih otrok. Predstavljamo način dela v ambulanti za predelavo vozil, vlogo delovnega terapevta v timu in njegovo sodelovanje pri izbiri ustreznega vozila in predelavi izbranega vozila. Namen timske obravnave je usposobiti osebe s trajnimi posledicami poškodb ali bolezni za najvišjo možno stopnjo delovanja oziroma samostojno vožnjo avtomobila in s tem boljšo socialno vključenost.
