This article explores how ChatGPT was used to develop digital competencies 1.1 and 2.1 (summarized by DigComp 2.2). 1 in Grades 6 and 9, where pupils created text problems involving multiplication and division of decimals with powers of 10 and equations. We examined pupils' familiarity with ChatGPT, their reasons for using it, and how often they use it. Over 80% had already used ChatGPT, mostly for additional explanation of school material, writing assignments, and searching for information. Most use it a few times a month, some a few times a week, or a few times a year. They are also familiar with other AI tools. This research is aimed at teachers, education professionals and anyone integrating AI into learning processes. The findings provide insights into developing modern teaching approaches and adapting methods to enhance pupils' understanding of mathematical concepts"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Pri pouku matematike občasno uporabljamo orodja umetne inteligence za razvoj digitalnih kompetenc. Nekatera so splošna (npr. ChatGPT), druga pa specializirana za matematiko (Geogebra, Photomath). V prispevku bomo predstavili, kako smo z uporabo ChatGPT v 6. in 9. razredu, kjer so učenci sestavljali besedilne naloge z množenjem in deljenjem decimalnih števil s potencami števila 10 ter enačbami, razvijali digitalni kompetenci 1.1 in 2.1 (povzeto po okvirju DigComp 2.2). Zanimalo nas je poznavanje ChatGPT ter namen in pogostost uporabe. Preverjali smo tudi, ali poznajo še druga orodja umetne inteligence. Rezultati kažejo, da je večina učencev uspešno razvila omenjeni kompetenci ter pridobila ustrezna znanja, spretnosti in stališča. Več kot 80 % učencev je že uporabljalo ChatGPT, največ za dodatno razlago šolske snovi, pisanje nalog in iskanje informacij. Večina ga uporablja nekajkrat mesečno, nekateri tedensko ali nekajkrat letno. Učenci poznajo tudi druga orodja umetne inteligence. Raziskava je namenjena učiteljem, strokovnjakom na področju izobraževanja in vsem, ki vključujejo umetno inteligenco v učne procese.
