Kot ponedeljkova izdaja je v letih 1932-1939 izhajal Ponedeljski Slovenec. Časnik Slovenec je bil kritičen do slovenske politike, kot odgovor na mladoslovenski Slovenski narod. Vodilo Slovenca je bilo izraženo v gesli: »Vse za vero, dom, cesarja!«. Leta 1945 so ga nove oblasti ukinile.
