The importance of proper classification of contractual relationships is emphasised, as misclassification of status may lead to exclusion from, or insufficient coverage within, the social security system. The analysis encompasses both a broader perspective and the specific features of the Slovenian legal framework, which, despite the formal mandatory inclusion of the self-employed in social insurance schemes, continues to reveal significant gaps in their effective access to social security and the rights arising from it. The contribution concludes that comprehensive and mandatory inclusion of the self-employed in a unified social security system represents the most appropriate approach, but only insofar as it simultaneously takes into account the specific characteristics of self-employment</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek analizira ključne izzive zagotavljanja socialne varnosti samozaposlenih v kontekstu strukturnih sprememb na sodobnem trgu dela, kjer naraščanje nestandardnih oblik dela in večja heterogenost samozaposlenih pomembno vplivata na učinkovitost obstoječih socialnovarstvenih mehanizmov. Prispevek ugotavlja, da celovita in obvezna vključenost samozaposlenih v enoten sistem socialne varnosti predstavlja najustreznejši pristop, vendar le, če se hkrati upošteva posebnosti opravljanja dela v okviru samozaposlitve</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-4NSMZ0VU"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-4NSMZ0VU" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-4NSMZ0VU/2c24de1a-d477-4fcd-b408-a5373ac09a5a/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Inštitut za delo pri Pravni fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-4NSMZ0VU/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-4NSMZ0VU" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
