Bistvo problema je v bikriterijskem večdimenzionalnem problemu nahrbtnika z omejitvami. Večinoma v takih problemih ni možno najti optimalne rešitve v sprejemljivem času. Zato smo poiskali rešitev z aproksimacijo in razvili v ta namen poseben računalniški program COLA, ki v zelo kratkem času najde rešitve tudi kompleksnih problemov.
