The copyright security, privacy protection and liability issues regarding the spatial (geographic) data sets in general are outlined. Further on protection of spatial databases and quality insurance for spatial data in the country of economical and political transition are discussed. The outlined problems are presented in the light of legal provision and its practical acceptance for public services and private enterprises. The main stress is addressed on the spatial data sets produced and maintained by the geodetic service and the surveying branch that are kept in the official databases covering the whole country"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek obravnava avtorske pravice, zaščito zasebnosti in odgovornosti, ki so opisane načelno ter glede na pomen za prostorske (geografske) podatkovne nize. Podan je pregled pravnih osnov, razvoj ustrezne zakonodaje in njena uporaba na področju tehnologije GIS-ov v Sloveniji. Sledita opis pravnih načelvarovanja baz podatkov in strategija odgovornosti za kakovost prostorskihpodatkov v deželi na prehodu. Opisani problemi se nanašajo na pregled razvitih pravnih mer ter njihove praktične uporabe v javnem in zasebnem sektorju. Glavni poudarek je na varovanju podatkovnih nizov, ki jih proizvaja in vzdržuje geodetska služba oziroma stroka.
