The paper provides an overview and comparison of the access granted to third country nationals to the labour market in a selection of EU member states - in Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Lituania, Greece, the Netherlands, Finland, Portugal and Germany. The author focuses on two questions: firstly, what kind of permits are required for third country nationals to be able to work in the abovementioned countries. Secondly, what are the procedures to acquire such permits and what are the criteria adopted by single countries for granting them. Finally, the paper provides an overview of the main obstacles faced by third country nationals in the process of accessing EU labour markets and it shows that, compared to EU nationals, third country nationals are by all means in a weaker position to successfully enter the labour market"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek ponuja pregled in primerjavo dostopa do trga dela v izbranih državah članicah EU za priseljence, ki niso državljani držav članic EU. Avtorica primerja položaj državljanov tretjih držav v Sloveniji, Češki, Litvi, Finski, Grčiji, Portugalski, Nemčiji in Nizozemski. Pri tem se osredotoča na dve vprašanji: prvič, katera dovoljenja so potrebna, da se lahko državljani tretjih držav zaposlijo v izbrani državi članici EU; in drugič, kakšni so postopki pridobivanja omenjenih dovoljenj in na podlagi katerih kriterijev jih izbrane države članice EU izdajajo.
