Lotman's historicismthroughout the three periods of his scientific endeavour: in the predominantly literary-historical period of the 'fifties, in the period of hisstructural-semiotic theoretical and historical research of the 'sixties and'seventies, and in the final period of the 'eighties and his final years, when Lotman went beyond structuralism and opened up in his work, especially onthe problems of "semiosphere", a number of new aspects of the history of culture, as well as literatureRazprava poskuša predstaviti nekatere temeljne vidike historizma Ju. Lotmana v vseh treh obdobjih njegovega znanstvenega delovanja: v pretežno literarnozgodovinskem obdobju petdesetih let, v obdobju struk turalno-semiotskih teoretskih in zgodovinskih raziskav šestdesetih in sedemdesetih let in v zadnjem obdobju osemdesetih in zadnjih let življenja, ko je Ju.
