The research was carried out in five randomly selected Slovenian kitesurfing schools (out of 14 operating, which represents a 35.7% sample of all operating schools), which operated in different locations in years 2015 and 2016. We used a survey questionnaire, which included three groups of variables 1). theoretical part with an explanation of the operation of equipment and security systems (6 variables); 2.) practical part with small school kite (22 variables) and 3.) practical part with large kite (17 variables). Data were obtained through guided surveys and by observing the implementation of courses in randomly selected schools. The evaluations in the form of 47 variables were evaluated by the instructors on a three-level Likert scale. We used Microsoft Excel to process data. We calculated the frequencies and presented them in the tables. In the analysis of the method of learning kitesurfing, we identified deficiencies. In order to increase the safety of the students, we recommend that schools shold improve the learning methodology</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen prispevka je bil ugotoviti, ali poučevanje kajtanja v slovenskih šolah poteka po metodičnih korakih, ki vsebinsko ustrezajo IKO učnemu načrtu, ki velja kot standard varnega poučevanja kajtanja. Raziskavo smo izvedli v petih naključno izbranih slovenskih šolah kajtanja (od 14 delujočih, kar je predstavljajo 35,7 % vzorec vseh delujočih šol), ki so v letih 2015 in 2016 delovale na različnih lokacijah. Uporabili smo anketni vprašalnik, ki je vključeval tri skupine spremenljivk; 1.) teoretični del z razlago delovanja opreme in varnostnih sistemov (6 spremenljivk); 2.) praktični del s šolskim kajtom (22 spremenljivk) in 3.) praktični del z velikim kajtom (17 spremenljivk). Podatke smo pridobili z vodenimi anketiranji in z opazovanjem izvajanj tečajev na lokacijah naključno izbranih šol. Trditve v obliki 47 spremenljivk so inštruktorji ocenjevali na tristopenjski Likertovi lestvici. Za obdelavo podatkov smo uporabili program Microsoft Excel. Izračunali smo frekvence in jih predstavili v tabelah.
