They are beneficial for active pharmaceutical ingredients with chro nopharmacological behavior, and for drugs that show significant first-pass metabolism, local diseases treatment in gastrointestinal tract or improved systemic absorption of active pharmaceutical ingredient in colon. In the article, basic concepts of pulsatile therapeutic systems are introduced, the reasons for their development are explained together with composition and mechanisms of the drug release modification from the appropriate dosage forms"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Peroralni pulzirajoči dostavni sistemi zdravilnih učinkovin pogosto izkazujejo številne prednosti pred drugimi načini prirejanja sproščanja. Zdravilno učinkovino sprostijo pulzno po intervalu brez sproščanja, ob ustreznem času, na ustreznem mestu v prebavni cevi in v ustreznem odmerku. Uporabljamo jih pred- vsem za učinkovine s kronofarmakološkim obnašanjem, tiste z izrazitim metabolizmom prvega prehoda, lokalno zdravljenje v prebavni cevi ali jih razvijamo za absorpcijo učinkovin v debelem črevesju z namenom sistemskega delovanja.
