A key advance in this regard involves giving up methodological nationalism and relying instead on a more open paradigm. This paradigm offers more valid and in-depth research findings concerning sociological parameters and social consequences caused by the accelerated compression of space and time. The theoretical agenda that is introduced exposes the dialectical and complex nature of the interconnections between globalisation and the following socially relevant and transformed concepts: national, nation-state, democracy, cosmopolitism, global governance and others"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek kritično osvetljuje in se osredinja na vprašanje, kako uspešno se je sociologija soočila s teoretičnimi, konceptualnimi in metodološkimi izzivi priraziskovanju novejšega družbenega in kompleksnega pojava globalizacije. Ključen preboj je bil narejen z opuščanjem metodološkega nacionalizma v korist odprte paradigme. Ta obljublja bolj verodostojno raziskovanje in poglobljena spoznanja o socioloških parametrih ter posledicah družbenih procesov, ki so posledica pospešenega krčenja prostora in časa.
