Only a limited amount of information was available from archive documents and some publications. Field research was carried out from 2008 - 2013 to obtain more detail. The most intensive mining was around Draga village. There we documented several mining tunnels and a lot of surface mining outcrops, preserved as large dig pits. The ore (iron ore) was mostly limonite (iron oxides), or a pseudomorph of limonite over pyrite. Some ore minerals were found in the area south of Sora and Gosteče but most were found around Draga village, on abandoned mining pits"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Območje med Soro in Gostečami tvorijo strme grape, ki se vrezujejo pod severno pobočje Osolnika in Homa. O rudarjenju v tem predelu je bilo zapisanega izjemno malo, zato je bilo potrebno pregledati še nekatere druge vire. Rezultat je odkritje mnogih sledi rudarjenja nad Drago in Soro. Rudarji so za seboj pustili izkopane rove, od katerih se jih je nekaj še ohranilo. Še več je površinskih izkopov, kjer na površini pogosto še vedno lahko najdemo rudo. Veliko območje rudarjenja pri Dragi kaže na sistematično in načrtno izkoriščanje rude, na kar nakazujejo nekateri zapisi v literaturi in drugih virih.
