As noted elsewhere in literature, the decisions about treatment for such children give rise to some of the most challenging ethical dilemmas in pediatrics. The questions whether or not certain types of treatment are in the best interest of the child, whether they improve quality of life or just prolong life and whether the parents are permitted to request that a particular treatment be provided for their child are crucial for the debate. Based on the official ethical recommedatins, the presented studies and our experience, we strongly support and practise a shared decision-making approach</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku predstavljamo in razpravljamo o etičnih vprašanjih, ki se pojavljajo pri obravnavi otrok s težkimi možganskimi okvarami, ki so v naši ustanovi vključeni v program dolgotrajne zdravstvene oskrbe in vzgojno-izobraževalno dejavnost. Upoštevajoč uradna etična priporočila, izsledke predstavljenih raziskav in glede na lastne izkušnje podpiramo in izvajamo pristop soodločanja zdravstvenih delavcev in staršev pri vseh odločitvah, ki so pomembne za otroka</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-3T6T1S74"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-3T6T1S74" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3T6T1S74/6ee1e4a7-feab-4a5d-87e3-8f1eaa9bfa6a/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3T6T1S74/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3T6T1S74" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
