This paper analyses the level of awareness and the implementation of measures aimed at respecting human rights in Slovenia. As a result of voluntary commitments, in recent years, enterprises have begun to adopt human rights policies and due diligence procedures in an effort to reduce the gap between declaratory recognition of the importance of human rights and their actual implementation. Despite these developments, the analysis reveals significant gaps-particularly in the areas of systematic risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, integration of human rights into business strategies, and the establishment of effective grievance mechanisms. Methodologically, the paper is based on a comparative analysis with international standards, in particular the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and incorporates insights from foreign research. The findings show that business enterprises still tend to treat respect for human rights primarily as an administrative obligation rather than a strategic objective. The paper therefore emphasizes that voluntary commitments are insufficient and calls for a systemic and legally supported regulatory framework</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Gospodarski subjekti se vse bolj zavedajo, da spoštovanje človekovih pravic ni več vprašanje izbire, temveč zahteva, ki izhaja iz zakonodaje, mednarodnih standardov in družbenega pritiska. Prispevek analizira stopnjo zavedanja in izvajanja ukrepov za spoštovanje človekovih pravic v Sloveniji. Kot posledica prostovoljnih zavez so gospodarski subjekti v zadnjih letih začeli sprejemati politike človekovih pravic in postopke skrbnega pregleda, s katerimi si prizadevajo zmanjšati razkorak med deklarativnim priznanjem pomena človekovih pravic in njihovo dejansko implementacijo. Kljub tem premikom analiza razkriva pomembne vrzeli - zlasti na področju sistematičnega ocenjevanja tveganj, vključevanja deležnikov, integracije človekovih pravic v poslovne strategije in vzpostavitve učinkovitih pritožbenih mehanizmov. Prispevek zato poudarja, da prostovoljne zaveze ne zadoščajo, ter poziva k sistemski in zakonsko podprti ureditvi</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-3KDRGX7G"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-3KDRGX7G" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3KDRGX7G/111266e7-8504-467a-a65a-9a38716b47f5/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3KDRGX7G/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-3KDRGX7G" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
