I explain why the construction of cell membrane enables the existence of these potentials. I explain how a chemical potential helps describe ion transport across cell membrane. I describe cell membrane in stationary conditions. Under these conditions electrical and chemical potential sum to zero and one can find the equation for electrical potential. Pojasnim, zakaj celična membrana omogoča nastanek omenjenih potencialov. Razložim, kako se lahko s pomočjo kemijskega potenciala opiše razmere na celični membrani v stacionarnem stanju. Vsota kemijskega in električnega potenciala je v tem primeru enaka nič, od koder slednjega tudi izračunam.
