We compared the results calculated based on split sprint times using photocells with the results calculated using a laser distance meter. The study involved 13 female soccer players who performed two repetitions of a 30-meter sprint. Split sprint times at 5, 10, 20, and 30 meters were simultaneously recorded using photocells and a laser distance meter. From split times and position-time data for photocells and laser, respectively, the outcome variables of the FvP profile for the sprint were calculated. The calculated variables (split times and outcome variables of the FvP profile) were statistically compared between the systems using a paired samples t-test. The strength of the profile between the methods was additionally assessed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. We found statistically significant differences between the methods in all calculated variables (effect size from 0.426 to 3.420). Pearson’s correlation coefficient showed a statistically significant positive correlation between the methods for split sprint times and maximum theoretical power (Pmax, r = 0.655; p &lt; 0.05) and maximum theoretical velocity variables (v0, r = 0.946; p &lt; 0.05). Our study results indicate that split sprint times and outcome variables of the FvP profile during a sprint differ when measured with photocells compared to a laser distance meter. Therefore, we recommend consistent use of measurement equipment in the future for evaluating athletes’ sprinting abilities</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen študije je bil preveriti sočasno veljavnost izračuna izhodnih spremenljivk profila sila-hitrost-moč (FvP) pri sprintu na 30 metrov med dvema merilnima instrumentoma. Rezultate, izračunane na podlagi vmesnih časov sprinta z uporabo fotocelic, smo primerjali z rezultati, izračunanimi z uporabo laserskega merilnika razdalje. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 13 nogometašic, izvedle so po dve ponovitvi sprinta na 30 metrov. Vmesni časi sprinta na 5, 10, 20 in 30 metrov so bili sočasno zajeti s fotocelicami in laserskim merilnikom. Iz časov teka za fotocelice in iz podatkov razdalje v času za laser so bile nato izračunane izhodne spremenljivke profila FvP za sprint. Rezultate izračunanih spremenljivk (vmesni časi teka in izhodne spremenljivke profila FvP) smo med sistemoma statistično primerjali s t-testom za odvisne vzorce. Moč povezanosti med njimi smo ocenili s Pearsonovim korelacijskim koeficientom. Ugotovili smo statistično značilne razlike med metodama pri vseh izračunanih spremenljivkah (velikost učinka od 0,426 do 3,420). Pearsonov korelacijski koeficient je pokazal statistično značilno pozitivno povezanost med metodama pri vmesnih časih sprinta ter največji teoretični moči (Pmax, r = 0,655; p &lt; 0,05) in največji teoretični hitrosti (v0, r = 0,946; p &lt; 0,05). Rezultati naše raziskave kažejo, da vmesni časi sprinta in izhodne spremenljivke profila FvP pri sprintu niso enaki, če za meritve uporabimo ali fotocelice ali laserski merilnik.
