The best adherence rates can be found in HIV patients who are treated with antiretrovirals, patients with rheumatoid arthritis, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, epilepsy and neurological diseases, and the worst adherence rates in patients with sleep disorders, diabetes, respiratory diseases, and renal failure. Patient non-adherence is often a cause of the treatment failure, so effective interventions to optimize adherence are necessary. The research focuses on a range of possible interventions with regard to potential causes of non-adherence. Technical interventions for simplification of the dosing regimen, reminders, patient education and motivation also show promising results, but complex multifaceted interventions were shown to be the most effective. However, the success of interventions largely depends on the ability to identifiy non-adherence and its underlying causes as well as tayloring the interventions to individual patients' disease-related characteristics</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Pri zdravljenju v največji meri sodelujejo pacienti, ki jih zdravimo z antiretrovirusnimi zdravili zaradi okužbe s HIV, pacienti z artritisom, boleznimi gastrointestinalnega trakta, rakavimi boleznimi, epilepsijo in nevrološkimi boleznimi, najmanj pa tisti z motnjami spanja, diabetesom, respiratornimi boleznimi in ledvično odpovedjo. Za uspešnost intervencij je kljub vsemu ključna ustrezna prepoznava nesodelovanja in vzrokov, ki se skrivajo v ozadju, ter prilagoditev intervencije individualnemu pacientu</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-2OTY0FHI"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-2OTY0FHI" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2OTY0FHI/893105da-ff55-4df6-ba6d-45d3cde7b5f0/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko farmacevtsko društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2OTY0FHI/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2OTY0FHI" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
