These limitations can be eliminated by professional consulting at home. The main aim of our study was to assess the home environment, namely safety and independence at performing basic daily living activities, individual meaningful activities and limitations that individuals have while performing activities at home. Methods: An occupational therapist and an electrical engineer assessed barriers and facilitators that elderly people with LLL have at their homes using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure and a semistuctured interview. They have advised them to use various assistive devices and modifications of the environment. Results: The visited elderly people with LLL have barriers in two to five places. Most of them have barriers at access to the entrance and wider environment, toilets and bathroom. We have advised them to use four to eight different assistive devices, modifications, services and/or to avoid some activities. The most frequent suggested device was a reacher/grabber to reach objects from the heights and from the ground. Conclusions: Despite the consulting during rehabilitation, the participants with lower limb loss still have many barriers at home, which influence their safety and independence in meaningful activities</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Izhodišča: Oseba po amputaciji med rehabilitacijo pogosto doseže zastavljene cilje, doma pa zaradi ovir zopet postane odvisna od pomoči drugih. Metode: Diplomirana delovna terapevtka in univerzitetna diplomirana inženirka elektrotehnike sta s pomočjo Kanadskega testa izvajanja dejavnosti (angl. Zaključek: Kljub svetovanju v času rehabilitacije imajo vključene starejše osebe po amputaciji doma še vedno številne ovire, ki vplivajo na njihovo varno in samostojno opravljanje zanje pomembnih dejavnosti</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-2M0F73TP"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-2M0F73TP" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2M0F73TP/8f1f55db-9296-4f67-81c1-3cd76e7f5983/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2M0F73TP/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2M0F73TP" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
