It is used to treat different diseases. In certain medical conditions, hydrotherapy is more efficient than other kinds of physical therapy due to physical characteristics of water. Short term effects of gymnastics in the swimming pool have already been proven. However, long term effects of gymnastics in the swimming pool or effects of other kinds of hydrotherapy have not been proven yet because high quality studies in this field do not existHidroterapija je zelo stara oblika fizikalne terapije.
